2. Sette at the Bvlgari Hotel

5. Sale e Pepe

A Knightsbridge fixture, and full almost every night. Hollywood stars, politicians, the same families coming back across three generations. The menu is traditional and unfussy. 6. Harry's Dolce Vita

Harry's Dolce Vita channels 1950s and 60s Venice across an all-day dining room, and the set lunch delivers genuinely good value for the postcode. 7. Osteria Romana
