Directly opposite the lights
ALBA sits at 70 Brompton Road, an Amalfi-inspired Italian restaurant directly opposite Harrods. There is step-free access from Brompton Road, a small luggage hold for the shopping, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look straight out at the season's most photographed facade. In December, the view alone is worth the table.
Lunch between shops
If the plan is a pause rather than a finale, the set lunch runs Monday to Friday from noon to 4pm - two courses for £32 or three for £39. It is built for exactly this: proper food, served at a pace that gets you back across the road with the afternoon intact.
