Halal-friendly Dining in Knightsbridge

ALBA is an Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge, a minute from the station and directly opposite Harrods. Head Chef Cristian Ianni cooks the food of the Amalfi Coast: seafood, hand-rolled pasta, wood-fired pizza and vegetables treated simply. Halal dishes prepared with halal-certified products are available on request, so halal diners have a place at the table across the antipasti, pasta and main courses. ALBA is not a certified halal kitchen; the certification sits with the products we buy, not the restaurant. If halal matters to your table, tell us when you book and the team will talk you through the menu on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most often from halal diners.

Is ALBA a halal restaurant?
+

ALBA is a halal-friendly Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge. Halal dishes prepared with halal-certified products are available on request. The kitchen itself is not halal-certified, and we say so plainly so you can decide with the full picture.

Do I need to tell you in advance?
+

Please do. Mention halal when you book, or when you arrive, and the team will guide you through the menu. Notice helps most for larger tables.

What can I eat at ALBA?
+

Much of the menu is seafood, pasta and vegetable led, with wood-fired pizza and a daily raw bar. Where a dish uses halal-certified products the team will point it out, and they will steer you away from anything that does not suit.

Is alcohol used in the cooking?
+

Some dishes are finished with wine. Tell us when you order and the kitchen will advise which dishes are prepared without it.

Can I book a private room for a halal group?
+

Yes. ALBA has a ten-seat private dining room and semi-private sections for 15 to 30 guests, with full venue hire for 110 seated or 150 standing. Mention halal when you enquire and the group menu can be built around it.

Where is ALBA?
+

70 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1ER, directly opposite Harrods and a minute from Knightsbridge station.
