This is the season ALBA changes most. The ten-seat omakase counter is now open, with a Japanese à la carte alongside it, Tuesday to Saturday. Sundays bring an Italian Sunday roast - slow-roasted veal or grilled mixed fish, served from 12pm to 5pm. Tuesdays belong to the Cacio e Pepe from the cheese wheel: ninety minutes of unlimited tagliatelle, tossed tableside in a whole Pecorino wheel.
Lunch Between the Shops
When the morning's shopping needs a pause, our set lunch is built for exactly that: two courses for £32 or three for £39, Monday to Friday from noon until 4pm. It is a proper sit-down Italian lunch rather than a rushed stop, thirty seconds across the road from Harrods. Take a full hour, or fit it around a Personal Shopper appointment; either way it is a calmer, brighter room to regroup in before the afternoon.
Aperitivo Hour
Autumn afternoons in Knightsbridge were made for the hour when the shops empty and the lights come on. Our Aperitivo Hour runs daily from 3pm to 7pm, with two cocktails for £18: the house Amalfi Spritz, bright with limoncello and bay leaf, or the Italian Riviera, a gin cocktail with maraschino, lime and a basil and lavender syrup.
