ALBA London is an Italian seafood restaurant in Knightsbridge, opposite Harrods on Brompton Road. Seafood runs through the menu the way it does along the Amalfi Coast: the fresh catch displayed daily on a beautiful seafood counter right as you enter, alongside a raw bar of oysters and crudo, a selection of premium black caviar, and fresh lobster — the star of our signature Lobster Linguine pasta. Book a table for lunch or dinner.
Seafood, the Amalfi Way
ALBA is an Amalfi-inspired Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge, where seafood is cooked in the true southern-Italian style - clean, citrus-lifted, built around whatever the sea offers that day. Head Chef Cristian Ianni draws on the coast region by region, and the room reflects the same spirit: an open kitchen, a fresh seafood display, lemon and olive trees, and a coastal palette inspired by the cooking of the Amalfi Coast.
The Fish Counter
At the heart of it sits the fish counter - whole fish on ice, chosen and cooked to order: grilled, in a salt crust, or steamed. The display changes with the market: sea bass, sea bream, Dover sole and turbot, alongside shellfish such as lobster, langoustine, Mazara prawns and scallops.
The Raw Bar: Oysters, Crudo and Caviar
For a lighter start, the raw bar runs to oysters, from Carlingford to Maldon Rock, a sea bass crudo finished with citrus and olive oil, and a tuna tartare. Alongside sits a dedicated caviar service - White Sturgeon, Oscietra and Beluga - served on its own or added across the menu.
Signature Seafood Plates
The lobster linguine is the dish most tables order without looking at the menu: whole lobster, hand-cut linguine, a tomato base kept bright rather than heavy. The crab ravioli folds sweet crab into a saffron butter sauce, finished with a little caviar. Spaghetti alle vongole keeps it simple — clams, garlic, white wine, parsley. Pasta and seafood are the headline here, not a holding course.
